 Summer in Victoria

As the warm sun of summer shines above Victoria, the city gears up for the busy tourist season with dozens of special events! The Victoria Jazz Festival, Luminara in Beacon Hill Park, the Oak Bay Tea Party and Symphony Splash in the Inner Harbour are just a few examples of the events Victoria has to offer in the summer. Don't forget to go whale-watching in a high-speed Zodiac while the Killer Whales are in town. Going to TOFINO to see Long Beach is another option for our GEOS Victoria students.

Fall in Victoria

Fall is a time of stunning colors and long, relaxing walks in the cooler autumn weather! Victorians love to enjoy the season by hiking in up Mt. Doug or watching the salmon spawning in Goldstream Park. Favorite activities also include getting lost in the Galey's Farm Corn Maze and choosing the perfect pumpkin to carve. Autumn is also a great time to dress up in your favourite costume for the annual Halloween Costume Contest at GEOS Victoria!

Winter in Victoria

Winter in Victoria is filled with so many exciting events and activities! If you are athletic, you'll love snowboarding or skiing up island at the Mount Washington ski resort. For closer fun, you can come with us to the outdoor skating rink at the Butchart Gardens, or you could just go to enjoy all the twinkling lights and delicious hot chocolate! And if you want to keep out of the cold, countless indoor activities await you: museum visits, Gingerbread House making, or checking out the beautifully decorated Christmas trees at the Fairmont Empress Hotel; you will never be bored in Victoria!

Spring in Victoria

Along with the warm breeze of spring comes the gorgeous flowers that Victoria is famous for! Spring is also a great time to fly a kite at Clover Point or relax with friends for a picnic at Beacon Hill Park. Join the great flower count to find out how many tulips are in Victoria or take a kayak around the shoreline to spot wildlife like eagles and seals! Spring is a great season to walk the Breakwater with an ice cream and a new friend!
